America's fittest cities: How does your city stack up?

How fit is your city? A new report from the American College of Sports Medicine’s (ACSM) American Fitness Index (AFI) looked at the 50 largest metro areas and ranked them based on health and community fitness. Number one on the list? The Washington D.C. metro area, which includes Arlington and Alexandria. Here’s the entire list:

I’ve been thinking about
family quite a bit lately. My great aunt passed away last week; and
while I believe that there is a designated hour for everyone to
leave this earth, I can’t help but feel that she died before her
time. She was 61 years old. The sad thing is that although
that's considered young by most standards, in my family, most
of the women die by the time they’re 65. Could exercise and
nutrition prolong their lives or at least improve their quality of
life? I am positive the answer is yes.
